The Ocean County Modelers club, OCM, will sponsor one, possibly two, pattern contests in 2011.

The first pattern contest will be on May 14th, 2011.
It will be a one-day contest, and is entitled:
 
the NSRCA D1 Spring Warm-up Pattern Contest
(The second potential pattern contest,  would be in September, 2011, possibly as a one or two-day contest, known as
the The Oasis Season-Finale Pattern Contest)
All typical AMA classes 401, 402, 403, 404, 406 will be flown at both events
in Jackson, Ocean County, New Jersey.


(2011 will mark the 22th annual OCM Season Finale two-day pattern contest)

These events will be located at:
Ocean County Modelers Air Park Wiskow Field.
Both events will be AMA-Sanctioned Events

AMA pattern sound limits will be enforced at CD's discretion due to local field sound limits.

ALL RC TRANSMITTERS AND RECEIVERS MUST BE 1991 NARROW BAND EQUIPPED

FIELD RULES:

NO ENGINE START-UPS PRIOR TO 9:00 AM (applies to all days of all events)

(Field is locked at night.)

·         ALL engines are to be started on one of the designated start-up stations.

·         All excess fuel during fueling operations MUST be captured in a container.

·         Pilots must bring a current AMA card

Port-a-jon and food will be available.

Note: There are lots of chain-hotels on Route 73 in Marlton/Mt Laurel, NJ around exit 4 of the New Jersey Turnpike and exit 36A of I-295.  However, they are all about 1 hour drive from this field - maybe more depending on traffic. Mt Laurel is a very commercial/business area - so sometimes the hotels are cheap on weekends - but it is every bit of a 1 hour drive.

Overnight camping is not allowed at this field.  There are two or three local camping sites with short commutes to the flying field.
